2.
ENTRY
DATES:
Entries will be
accepted at any time once a Game period has started.
3.
ENTRY
QUALIFICATION:
The Game is only open to any eligible person residing in a country where the
Game is not prohibited or otherwise unlawful. Failure to observe these
requirements and these terms and conditions will mean that any winning entry is
invalid and all winnings will be forfeited. Employees of the Promoter, its
associated, affiliated and subsidiary companies, and their families, agents and
any person connected with the Game are excluded from entry. In the case of all
entries, entrants must supply all the information requested.
4.
HOW TO
SELECT A TEAM:
(a) Entrants may enter as many teams as they like, subject to these Terms and
Conditions. Each entry is subject to these Terms and Conditions. Each entry must
have a different team name. The Promoter reserves the right to reject any team
name, which in its sole judgement, is inappropriate or offensive. In that event
the Promoter reserves the right to rename the team in the name of the entrant or
to apply such other name as the Promoter considers appropriate.
(b) The Promoter has chosen the players and their specified positions included
on the player list. Positions will remain constant for the whole duration of the
Game. The Promoter will not enter into any correspondence relating to the
inclusion or non-inclusion of any player. Players which are not included on the
player list will not be accepted into any team.
(c) All information published for each player will remain in effect throughout
the Game in regard to all eligible matches in the Game. All validly entered
teams will be deemed to be valid for the duration of the Game (provided that
transfers are validly made in accordance with paragraph 6). If a player becomes
injured, the player's points will become frozen. If a player is frozen in the
player list, a team will not become invalid as a result.
(d) All teams must be in any of the following formats: (i) 4-4-2 (ii) 5-3-2
(iii) 3-4-3 (iv) 4-3-3 (v) 4-5-1 (vi) 5-4-1 (vii) 3-5-2. A player can only be
selected once - player duplication is not permitted. Entries that do not comply
with these selection rules will not be validly entered teams and will not be
eligible for prizes.
5.
ACCEPTANCE OF ENTRIES:
Once an entry is correctly submitted, the entrant's team is accepted.
6.
TRANSFERS:
(a) Transfers cannot be made without the use of the entrant’s team name and
password. If more than one transfer is requested at a time, and a team is made
invalid by any of those requested transfers, then all transfers requested at
that time will be rejected. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure
that all transfers result in a new team which complies with these terms and
conditions. Transfer requests cannot be altered after submission.
(b) The Game computer's record of transfers will be deemed to be the official
record of transfers.
(c) Please see the Website for full details of players available and transfer
details.
(d) The transfer deadlines may be amended by the Promoter without notice.
7.
PRIZES:
The points scoring rules are set out in the scoring rules. The winning entry
will be the validly entered team that throughout each Game Period accumulates the most
points calculated using those points scoring rules. The entrant whose validly
entered team has scored the most points at the end of a Game Period will win the
first prize.
8.
TIE-BREAK:
In the event of two or more teams having the same score for the main Game prizes
a tie-break will come into effect.
If there is a tie at any prize point in the
Game the winner will be determined by which team has scored the most goals
during the Game.
If there is still no clear winner, then the tie-break will be
decided by the team conceding the least goals during the Game.
If there is still
no clear winner, then the tie-break will be decided by the team with the best
disciplinary record during the Game.
If there is still no clear winner for a
prize after the above tie-breaks, the team which was entered into the Game first
in time from the tied entrants shall win the prize.
The subsequent teams will be
placed in the order they have entered.
Example: a team that comes second in a
tie-break, will receive the next prize below the one that is being decided by a
tie break. This applies to all tie-break situations.
9.
AWARDING OF PRIZES:
The judges' calculation of points and their awarding of prizes and all other
matters associated with the Game will be final and no correspondence will be
entered into. The prizes are non-transferable and there are no alternative
prizes.
10.
LIABILITY:
In respect of the operation of the Game and interpretation of these Terms and
Conditions, the Promoter's decision will be final and no correspondence will be
entered into. The Promoter and its subsidiary, associated and affiliated
companies do not accept liability for lost, corrupted, damaged, unclear,
inaudible, delayed or otherwise invalid entries. Proof of calling or sending or
transmission of an entry shall not be proof of receipt or acceptance of an
entry. The Promoter and its subsidiary, associated and affiliated companies do
not accept liability for failures of any kind which may limit or prohibit the
opportunity to participate in the Game. The Promoter reserves the right to amend
and/or waive these Terms and Conditions or any part thereof at any time and
entrants agree that no liability shall attach to Fantasy Soccer Limited as a
result thereof, and that the exercise of such discretion shall not result in any
compensation or payment being payable or paid to any entrant. It is a condition
of entry of the Game that these Terms and Conditions and the "How to Score"
rules detailed at Paragraph 8 above and the latest promotional and explanatory
copy which form part of these Terms and Conditions are accepted as binding and
that the entrant agrees to abide by these Terms and Conditions. If there is any
inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any other promotional or
explanatory copy, the Promoter shall be entitled in its sole discretion to
determine these terms and conditions shall prevail.
11.
COMPLAINTS:
The Promoter reserves the right to investigate any complaints that it receives
but shall be under no obligation to do so. Should the Promoter chose to exercise
this right, its decision shall be final and binding on all complainants and it
shall not enter into any correspondence regarding its decision or any other
matter. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to accept any entry if at its
sole discretion the entrant has not complied with the Game Terms and Conditions
or if the entrant has in the sole view of the Promoter contravened the spirit of
the Game.
12.
CONTACTING WINNERS:
All winners will be notified via the contact details provided on their entry
form within 14 days of the announcement of the prize. Prizes will be announced
within 7 days of the end of the relevant period. All entrants agree to allow the
free use of their names, photographs, general location, team name and selections
for publicity and news purposes in the Newspaper and on the Website. All winners
shall be required to participate in any such publicity as the Promoter
reasonably requires.
13.
UPDATES:
The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of the Game
information online at
http://www.playfantasysoccer.com
("the Website")
and to update such information on a regular basis, but does not guarantee that
such information will be accurate or up-to-date at all times.
14.
GOVERNING LAW:
These Terms and Conditions will be interpreted in accordance with the laws of
the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the entrants agree that all claims they may
have arising from their participation in the Game which may be brought against
the Promoter will be under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian Courts. If
any provision of these Terms and Conditions proves to be illegal or
unenforceable, this shall not prevent the remaining provisions continuing in
full force and effect.

16.
COPYRIGHT:
(a) Copyright in these Terms and Conditions, the game mechanics and the scoring
system is the sole property of the Promoter or a subsidiary, associated or
affiliated company of the Promoter. Single copies of these Terms and Conditions
including the "How to Score" rules may be copied or printed off by each entrant
solely for their use in connection with the Game, but otherwise no information
or material relating to the Game may be reproduced or transmitted in any form
without the prior written consent of the Promoter. No information may be
reproduced in any format without prior written consent from the Promoter.
(b) NIGERIAN
FANTASY SOCCER LEAGUE IS A REGISTERED TRADEMARK AND CANNOT BE USED WITHOUT THE
EXPRESS PERMISSION OF FANTASY SOCCER LIMITED.
